Alabama ranks 9th for power plant emissions
Alabama had the ninth highest total of carbon dioxide emissions from power plants in 2010.
According to data from the Environmental Integrity Project, Alabama's power plants emitted more than 84 million tons in 2010. That's up 14 percent from the 74,033,748 million tons the state's power plants emitted in 2009.
