Alabama foreclosure filings on the decline

Foreclosure filings in Alabama continue to decline, according to data released Thursday by foreclosure listing firm RealtyTrac.

RealtyTrac’s data shows there were 1,642 foreclosure filings in Alabama in January. The company describes a foreclosure filing as a default notice, scheduled auction or bank repossession of a home.
