Alabama makes progress on graduation rates but still trails nation, report finds

Although still trailing the nation, Alabama is making progress in reducing the number of students who drop out of high school, according to a national report released today.

 

  The report, "Building a Grad Nation: Progress and Challenge in Ending the High School Dropout Epidemic," calls Alabama an "inspiring case study" because of the programs in place to combat the dropout rate. America's Promise Alliance, Civic Enterprises and Johns Hopkins University's Everyone Graduates Center released the report.
