Construction is under way for a new headquarters for Consolidated Publishing Co. The 78,000-square-foot building, the first new construction in the redevelopment of the old Fort McClellan, sits atop a hill overlooking Alabama 21 at the point where the Eastern Parkway will cross the highway.
The building will house an ultra-modern printing plant that will serve all of the company's five newspapers, as well as offices for The Anniston Star and Consolidated's Online Division.
This is the view of the facility from the main parking lot. The lobby, directly behind the tree in the center of the picture, connects the production center on the left and the advertising, news and executive offices on the right.
Consolidated Publishing anticipates moving into the new building in late July.
